6. 👾”But nothing really came along The monsters changed but they’re still strong... ...cause the truth is....” 🖤 ‘Cause the truth is coming (and it’s all about learning to live with your demons isn’t it?) BUT the presave link for “We’re All Messed Up” is in my bio! Would mean a lot to me if you could head on over there and click presave!

🥂Here’s to things that are worth the wait, and the effort, and most of all, the lack of sleep 😴 I’m exhausted. And this isn’t a motivational post. No seriously, it isn’t. I’m so exhausted I just want to sleep all the time, and can basically sleep none of the time. I don’t have a solution. But hey, I just programmed my next release. So what if I have to work all day every day? It’s these #littlethings that count anyway. 🖤 We’re All Messed Up out April 16th (because seriously, we ARE all messed up). 📸 by @iuso_photo

It’s been an intense week. Sometimes life and work and everything in between just overlaps and feels so overwhelming that you just want to curl up and go to sleep. Among the madness of the past week, I was lucky enough to be interviewed by @radionolo, where I talk about my music, the little anxieties of life, Final Fantasy, nerdy books and general life. Thank you to my wonderful hosts @nic_panetta and @alexwriter.official for giving me the time and opportunity to tell you about my little dark music project. Can’t wait to hear it tomorrow! You can find it on Radio Nolo’s website and all my social media tomorrow. And until tomorrow, goodnight. 🖤 📸 @iuso_photo

How do you write a song? What comes first, the words or the music? These are questions I always get, and there's no "right" answer (although I generally tend to write the music first, but maybe that's just me). There is, however, a story behind each song. Over the Continent was the first of 11 songs to be written during the course of April 2020, in one month. I set this challenge for myself. I wanted to write, record, and produce an album in 30 days...and I did. And now these songs are coming out, one by one. I got the idea from a songwriting challenge that my friends over at Sottotetto Records hosted during the first lockdown; they gave participants a sort of "theme", a small melody that had to be used, and then optional lyrics and other ideas. There was this melody which I just really liked (Fa La Sooool Fa), and so I started messing about on the piano with it. Then I remembered the gorgeous lyrics which my friend @marcoferazzi had written and asked if I could use them as inspiration. I translated the verse he'd written in Italian, and the first verse of Over the Continent was born. Within half an hour - and I'm not sure how - the song was complete. It just finished itself. Sometimes it's easy like that. Other times it's JUST SO HARD. Anyway, point being, I'm so grateful for that first small spark, because frankly, I hadn't written anything in well over two years. Over the Continent restarted it all. And yes, I still wrote the music generally before the lyrics (definitely the harmonic structure and most of the melody before the lyrics just started to naturally invade the space). You can listen to it on Spotify and all digital stores, as well as watch my Lyric video on Youtube. Link in bio 🖤 📸 @iuso_photo

"𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝐲𝐨𝐮." - Aerith Gainsborough (Final Fantasy VII) Oh, the nostalgia! I love the story, the games (FFVII Original and - unpopular opinion maybe - Crisis Core), and the characters SO much. Final Fantasy Crisis Core holds a special place in my heart because it got me through a very difficult time in my life. Basically, therapy in game-format. As the first video in my Final Fantasy Piano Collections series, it just seemed right to record Aerith’s Theme. I laughed playing this. I cried. The graphics were crap compared to our standards today, but honestly, it didn’t matter because the story and the characters were just the best thing ever. Video up on my channel!
